North defeated SK 2-1 at DreamHack Masters Malm? and ???? ???? ????? ?????? ?????? ???????? ???????advanced to the playoffs (5-16 on Cobblestone, 16-8 on Train, and 16-11 on Inferno).
The best-of-three Group A winners' match featured SK and North who won their first games against BOOT-d[S] and Cloud9, respectively. The first map in the series was Cobblestone where North started on the CT-side.
The Danes won the pistol round but couldn't resist SK's force buy in the second round. SK won six more rounds to lead 7-1. The Brazilians walked all over North in the first half, finishing it 12-3 ahead.
SK continued their streak on the CT-side as Jo?o "?felps?" Vasconcellos got a triple kill in the pistol round. Although North secured two T-side rounds, SK ran away with the game, winning 16-5.
North started on the T-side on Train and secured the first three rounds. SK's first weapon round win was answered by Kristian "?k0nfig?" Wienecke who picked up the following round with a triple kill. Even though North struggled when SK built a solid economy on the CT-side, they were able to win the half 8-7.
After North won the first two rounds of the second half, Fernando "?fer?" Alvarenga got three entry kills and an ace to get SK their eighth round (10-8). However, North's defense didn't falter and they went on a six round streak to close out the game with Philip "?aizy?" Aistrup and René "?cajunb?" Borg's 2vs5 (16-8).
The deciding map in the series was Inferno. Mathias "?MSL?" Lauridsen & company kicked it off with a T-side pistol round win and also secured the first weapon round despite Marcelo "?coldzera?" David's triple kill on the A-site. felps got his team their first round with a triple kill as they trailed 1-5. However, SK only got one more round and lost the first half 13-2.
North closed out Inferno 16-11 despite SK's late comeback effort and advanced to the playoffs at DreamHack Masters Malmö. SK will face Cloud9 tomorrow in Group A's decider game for a spot in the playoffs.
