A back and ?? ??? ??forth game on Cobblestone finished with BIG defeating North 16-12, eliminating the Danish team from the ELEAGUE Major 2018.
Despite losing the Terrorist pistol round in a somewhat sloppy manner, North was the team that took the early lead. It all started with the first gun round, where Kristian "?k0nfig?" Wienecke got a clean entry on Kevin "?keev?" Bartholom?us who was soloing A, and the Danish team didn't let go of the chokehold in the upcoming rounds.
After Mathias "?MSL?" Lauridsen's team took the lead, Philip "?aizy?" Aistrup had a great round, picking up an ace on the B site offensive against BIG's full-buy, making the score 5-3. A mixed buy earned the German side their fourth round (6-4), but North took the following round, resetting BIG and going up to nine rounds as Terrorists.
When it seemed that the game was slipping away for them, BIG won the last two rounds as CT and took over that momentum into the second half, winning the pistol round and the anti-ecos to equalize the score at 9-9.
Full-buy rounds were traded back and forth from that point onwards. First k0nfig and aizy locked down A, then Johannes "?tabseN?" Wodarz replied with a quad-kill on B, and then Valdemar "?valde?" Bj?rn Vangs? kept his team from ecoing with a crucial hat-trick, locking down drop. (11-11)
A 1v1 situation involving Johannes "?nex?" Maget and René "?cajunb?" Borg, which went the way of BIG, ended up being one of the key ones in the game. The German side finally took the lead after it, had the economy on their side and controlled the pace of the game from the Terrorist side.
With another 1v1 clutch going nex's way, BIG went up to 15 rounds and it was just a matter of time before they closed out the game, eliminating North from the tournament.
