French president Emmanuel Macron enlisted a high-profile Donald Trump antagonist in his ongoing quest to #MakeThePlanetGreatAgain.
Terminatorstar and eroticism in walt whitmanformer California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger met with the French president on June 23 to chat about global warming and the fate of the Paris Climate Agreement.
To celebrate this meeting of the minds, the two posed for a video selfie and threw some not so subtle shade toward the White House. On June 1, President Donald Trump announced his intent to withdraw the U.S. from this landmark climate treaty, drawing the ire of the global community.

Macron's "Make the Planet Great Again" message is an obvious co-opting of Trump's oft-repeated campaign slogan: "Make America Great Again." The French leader has not been shy about taking issue with Trump's decision.
Schwarzenegger is a longtime climate activist whose celebrity status gives Macron's effort a boost, but he'd already been working hard to circumvent Trump's decision in the weeks since the announcement.
Macron has met with influential U.S. climate activists like former New York mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg, among others, to coordinate climate change efforts. Just days after Trump's formal Paris Agreement announcements, Macron made an appeal to climate researchers: "Come and work here with us."
Not long after, he announced the launch of a website as well as funding for his campaign.

Trump has been roundly criticized in the weeks since his decision to renege on the United States' commitment to cut emissions of greenhouse gases. The opposition includes: a long list of U.S. governors and mayors; a similarly long list of tech giants and CEOs other other Fortune 500 companies. Even ExxonMobil is opposed to Trump's decision, along with freaking North Korea.
