Apple announced the EGS would get the green light in Europe on Friday, per Reuters. However, that only came after Epic took to X to publicly accuse Apple of slow-rolling the submission by rejecting the app for seemingly trivial reasons. For instance, Epic said Apple's regulations found that the EGS app's "Install" button was too similar to Apple's "Get" button.

Epic took umbrage with Apple's practice of scraping 30 percent off in-app payments, which resulted in Fortnitebeing taken off the iOS App Store. Epic eventually won a partial legal victory related to the matter, and later unrelated legal developments in the European Union have guaranteed that Fortnitewill return to iPhones there in short order.
That said, we're still waiting to find out when or if Fortnitewill return to iPhones in the United States.
