Apple's Powerbeats 2 wireless earbuds weren't cheap. But at least you might get some money back thanks to a class-action lawsuit.
Apple decided to settle it for a total of $9.75 million, music video where wife thinks about killing husband, husband thinks about sex with girl per MacRumors. The lawsuit (which you can see in full at Apple Insider) alleged that Powerbeats 2 owners were not getting the kind of battery life or water and sweat resistance that they were promised back in 2015.
As with all class-action settlements, you might be entitled to money if you submit a claim of ownership, which you can do through this website. According to the FAQ, you could get anywhere from $20 to $189 from the settlement, depending on whether you have a proof of purchase, and proof of warranty repairs or replacements.
As always with these sorts of things, it depends on how many people make claims and what kinds of claims they make. The important thing is that Apple will be forced to give you a little bit of money if you bought Powerbeats 2, regardless of your experience with the earbuds. You have until Nov. 20 to make a claim, so get to it.
