The ?? ?? ???metal-and-glass Apple Vision Pro is nearly $4,000, so for all that money, it better be solid enough to withstand a few bumps and a couple of drops, right?
Tech YouTuber AppleTrack, also known as Sam Kohl, tested the Vision Pro's durability with a few sudden shocks. Did it remain intact? For the most part.

However, according to Kohl, if you grab the Vision Pro by holding the light seal, you risk dropping the headset because its magnetic attachment isn't strong enough.
If that happens, would it survive the fall? Kohl dropped the Vision Pro from a height of about six feet. Despite the impact, the headset didn't crack. A few scuffs, sure, but no notable fractures. Even the aluminum and downward-facing cameras remained intact.
R.I.P to the Vision Pro's left speaker, though, because it didn't withstand the drop.
With the headset on, Kohl also walked into walls and jambs, testing to see whether the Vision Pro can handle clumsy stumbles into obstacles. Other than a scrape or two, the Vision Pro remained fine.
Even after standing on top of a couch, giving more height to the Vision Pro drop test, the headset's glass front didn't crack. Mind you, this is after the Vision Pro had been bump-and-drop tested several times already.
It wasn't until Kohl launched a second drop test from his couch, this time putting his arms up to increase the height of the drop, that the Vision Pro's front finally shattered. Interestingly, Kohl said he was able to peel off this cracked glass layer, exposing a perfectly polished plastic front.
And to Kohl's surprise, the sensors and the cameras were left unscathed. Plus, the Vision Pro continued to work just fine. Save for the broken left speaker, the Vision Pro functioned without any issues.
