On Saturday, Tori Monaco asked her girlfriend of a year to marry her. Then her girlfriend (and now fiancée) Berkley Cade, pulled out a ring and got down on one knee too.

Monaco had no idea that Cade was planning to propose on the same day. "It was a complete surprise!" she said via DM.
Cade bought the ring in September and was waiting for the couple to visit her family in Washington to propose. Monaco has had her ring since January, and knew that Cade wanted to be the one to propose eventually, but planned on surprising her.

"I wanted to propose to her because she's such a giver," Monaco said. "She never gets spoiled or gets to be the center of attention."

While Cade drew out a Pictionary turn, Monaco got on one knee and guessed "will you marry me?" as the answer.
Shocked, Cade brought her ring out and asked the same question.

It was a yes for both of them, according to Monaco.
"My heart was pounding. I had knots in my stomach the whole week leading up to it," she said. "I almost broke and proposed early so many times."
Monaco and Cade talked Cade's mother, Kristy, separately about the proposal without knowing that the other was planning to propose as well. So, Kristy coordinated their proposals so they'd ask each other during the same game.
"We wanted to do it in front of the whole family," Monaco said, "Kristy was able to help us both plan our proposals and tricked us into proposing at the same time!"

Neither had any idea that Cade's mother coordinated their proposals to happen at the same time.
"I was laughing at the crazy coincidence," Monaco said, "And just so unbelievably shocked that something so perfect was happening to me."

They already set a date for the wedding: September of 2019. Until then, they're searching for coordinating wedding dresses.
