GARDENA — Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166thSt. in Gardena, will hold its annual Obon Festival on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 3 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 2, from 3 to 9 p.m.
Obon dancing will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. both days. Everyone is invited to participate in the Southland’s last Obon of the year. The final dance practice is on Tuesday, July 28, at 7 p.m.
Food booths will offer teriyaki, udon, Spam musubi, sushi, tamales, hot dogs, corn, and dango. The festival will also feature games, a white elephant sale, tours of the Hondo more.
