If you're getting fed up of being told to wash your hands for 20 seconds, skinny old women solo sex fun videos or even getting fed up of washingyour hands for 20 seconds, then you're just not doing it musically enough.
On Sunday, 17-year-old college student William Gibson from Northamptonshire, UK, created a website for this exact purpose — and since he posted it on Twitter, it's taken off in a big way.

"I got the idea for the website when I saw someone make a lyric hand washing meme for 'money machine' by 100 gecs," Gibson told Mashable. "I wanted to make posters like this for all my favourite songs and instead of copy and pasting lyrics into Photoshop I decided to create the site!"
Gibson said it took him about a day to make the website, from Saturday evening to Sunday night.
"I started off working on trying to get the length of the lyrics right per caption, but it turns out a lyric per caption worked really well so I stuck with that. It wasn’t long until I got the first prototype up and running, after that it was a matter of tidying it up into a web app and then launching it!"
At the time of writing, the site now has well over 400,000 unique visitors in only two days. Almost 250,000 posters have been created.

"Most of the traction was from people sharing posters and retweeting the announcement tweet," Gibson said. "It’s crazy how popular it’s become, I always knew it had potential to become a small scale internet meme but not to this extent."
It really has become popular, too. As well as the huge traffic to the site, a whole host of bands and singers have been making posters using lyrics from their own songs — including this absolute gem of a tweet from Rage Against the Machine.

Gibson said the attention from musicians — including some artists he's followed for years himself — has been a very surreal experience. Especially when he sees them post using a tool he built in his own bedroom.
And as for the tool itself? Alongside dealing with the heavy traffic and enquiries from the media, Gibson plans to add support for non-English languages soon, along with some other new features if he has the time.
"Every single reaction I’ve gotten so far has been positive which is great, I saw a teacher on Twitter talking about how they used the site to teach their Year 9 class about hand washing which was incredibly awesome," Gibson said. "I never expected it to do the amount of good it seems to be doing!"
The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) says "handwashing is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family from getting sick," and recommends washing often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to protect yourself against the coronavirus.
Officially named COVID-19, coronavirus has now killed 4,200 people globally and infected over 115,000.
