This new change doesn't make Twitter any less of a dumpster fire, mrs. dalloway frisson of eroticism but for iOS users at least, it's now an easier dumpster fire to follow.
The company revealed – via tweeted GIF, naturally – that a new tweak to Twitter's official iOS app makes conversations easier to spot. It's all thanks to a visible line that will now be drawn between connected tweets in your timeline.
See for yourself.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
As the tweet lays out, the goal of the update to to make it "easier to see who's replying to who so you can join in on relevant conversations." What it won't do, however, is put a stop to the people who seemingly exist on Twitter to fill your day with awkward interjections. It also won't keep the randoms out, since the feature only works with people you follow.
Still, any update that makes Twitter less jumbled and more coherent is a good thing for users and, probably, society as a whole. The update will also be coming soon to the Android Twitter app, as the company confirmed in multiple replies to the above tweet.
