Better Call Saul has been renewed for a sixth and sex 18 hanfinal season, and will include a little treat for Breaking Bad fans.
Co-creator and showrunner Peter Gould has announced Breaking Bad alum Dean Norris will join the show's final season to reprise his role as Hank Schrader, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent and Walter White's brother-in-law. Hank will also be reunited with his partner Steven Gomez, with Steven Michael Quezada set to return in the role.
From the moment the Breaking Bad prequel was announced, fans have begged for more of the show's beloved characters to appear. While Better Call Saulis centred on the early exploits of Walter's unscrupulous lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), and features both Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) and Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), few other Breaking Bad main characters have appeared.
Now as Better Call Saulapproaches its end, it seems that's about to change. Norris is set to appear in two episodes, while Quezada will guest-star during the season.

Also migrating from Breaking Bad will be Ed Galbraith aka The Disappearer, played by the late Robert Forster. Though Forster wasn't a series regular, only appearing in a single episode, his character played a massive role in the show's endgame. The actor previously reprised the role in Breaking Badsequel film El Camino, and shot his Better Call Saul scenes during filming.
"I was so excited to get him into the episode," said Gould. Though production on Season 6 isn't scheduled to begin until later this year, it seems Better Call Saul's writers already have a very clear idea of where their characters are going to end up.

Which is just as well — it would likely be difficult to make it feel organic rather than shoehorned in.
Better Call Saul's sixth and final season will consist of 13 episodes and premiere in 2021. Season 5 is set to premiere on Feb. 23.
