Zamata joined the SNLcast in 2014, after the show specifically sought to cast a black female comedian after diversity concerns were raised, The Hollywood Reporter explained. While many have argued her talents were underutilized on the show, since 2014, she's appeared in a wide variety of sketches—and below are some of our favorite Zamata moments.

Here are some of his greatest hits. This sketch, which Zamata told AP she wrote after binging the hit Netflix show, was a hilarious take on the character Lucas' background and his overbearing parents, who understand that there might be bigger things to worry about as a black family than the Upside Down.
It's shame that the SNLseason is over before what's sure to be a historic season of The Bachelorette (to be clear it's historic, for reasons producer's might not like). Zamata makes a hilarious Rachel Lindsey, aka the first black bachelorette, and while the sketch didn't make it to television, thank goodness it lives online.
While she's never quite the star of Black Jeopardy sketches, Zamata's reoccurring role as Keely still manages to bring the laughs every time.
Beyond hilarious impressions of Beyoncé, Michelle Obama and Rihanna, it's the "How 2 Dance with Janelle" sketches are where Zamata has shined most since her time on SNL. Whether her parents are played by Chris Rock or Taraji P. Henson, Zamata hilariously brings the 15 year old dancer to life every time.
“And as you leave, I know that I am losing my best friend," Zamata sang along side Cecily Strong, in a tribute to Barack Obama. Video of their performance can only be seen in crappy quality on YouTube, but that didn't stop Strong from chalking it up to one of her favorite memories with Zamata.

"What I will say is that it did not escape me how Sasheer was so right there for it the entire time, happy to be a part of it and helpful and determined to help make it better. I felt like fainting and she came in and I really couldn't have wanted to stand next to anyone else," Strong wrote on Instagram on Sunday.
"She's been that way for a lot of things and I love sharing t-shirts with her," she continued. "She's so damn intelligent and strong and funny and I'm proud to know you, Sasheer, and to have this moment with the two of us forever."
