The ??? ?? ????Season 3 Reloaded update brings two brand-new maps to Black Ops 6, but one of them will be familiar to anyone who has played the original Black Ops campaign.

Each new CoD update brings plenty of fresh content, from new weapons to events full of free rewards. Season 3 Reloaded is no exception, with the Spectre SMG making a comeback as the Ladra and the High Art event introducing Seth Rogen as an Operator.

On top of all that, multiplayer is also getting a host of new maps, including the Blazetown variant of Nuketown and two that have never been seen before. Well, that’s not entirely true, because the latest Strike map takes place in the same location as an iconic Black Ops 1 mission.

New Signal map takes players back to Black Ops 1

When the Signal map was first announced, it was revealed that it takes place in an underwater hangar. However, it turns out that it’s not just any aquatic base, but the Numbers Station where Black Ops 1’s final mission, Redemption, takes place.

This epic conclusion to what is considered one of Call of Duty’s best-ever campaigns sees Hudson and Mason trying to prevent the release of the Nova 6 gas, which would likely lead to World War 3.

You infiltrate the Rusulka ship and discover that the Numbers Station, which had been broadcasting a series of numbers that activate Russian sleeper agents around the globe, is actually underwater in the Gulf of Mexico.

After Dragovich is killed and the station is shut down, you’re forced to escape as the base crumbles around you before being met with the unforgettable final cutscene.

Black Ops 6’s Signal takes players back to this memorable moment, complete with a few rooms you’ll recognize, allowing you to fully explore the station in 6v6 and 2v2 matches without the pressure of saving the world.

“Turn the clock back to 1968 when Pantheon moles infiltrated the Numbers Station, where water floods in through a breach in the walls and flames lap the upper walkways,” said the official blog. “Engage enemies in the central Broadcast center or fight through the flashing lights and alarms of the Control room.”

This is a perfect opportunity to relive one of the most memorable missions Call of Duty has ever produced, but don’t expect an easy ride, as Strike maps are known for being fast-paced and chaotic.
