If you can seamlessly deliver a perfect Alexis impression, you’ll rejoice to hear that Schitt's Creekisn't disappearing from streaming. It's just doing a big move — kinda like the Roses.
The Emmy Award-winning comedy series created by father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy is moving to Hulu. Maybe you haven't already binge-watched all six seasons, or perhaps the oncoming sweater weather simply has you craving David Rose fashion. Either way, we've got you covered.
Here's everything you need to know about Schitt's Creek.
All six seasons of Schitt's Creekare now on Hulu.
After losing their massive fortune (and home), the opulent Rose family is forced to move to the only asset still left in their name: the small, rural town of Schitt's Creek. As part of this joke-turned-nightmare, the Roses find themselves navigating motel rooms, microwave mac 'n' cheese, and local eccentrics as they gradually build a new life for themselves from the ground up.
With the cast including comedy giants Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara, as well as the marvelously funny Dan Levy and Annie Murphy, it's no surprise that Schitt's Creekis a delightfully breezy comfort watch full of viral one-liners, kooky characters, and profoundly heartfelt moments.
Watching O'Hara play Moira Rose single-handedly added 10 years to my life span. If you are going to watch Schitt's Creekfor anyone, do it for Moira.
The show snagged seven Emmys in one night, so it's officially comedic gold. Here's some of the praise the show has gotten over the last few years:
"Thanks to a daffy charm — a winning combination of its characters' caustic wit and the show's fundamental warmth — and enthusiastic word-of-mouth support, the series rose from humble origins to the pinnacle of TV acclaim." — Lara Zarum, The New York Times
"Schitt's Creekhas blossomed into a cult classic and arguably the best sitcom of the last decade. An onslaught of razor-sharp putdowns, gif-ready catchphrases ("Ew, David") and, most importantly, genuine, heart-swelling warmth." — Michael Cragg, The Guardian
"The riches-to-rags trope isn't new (see Arrested Development), but what sets Schitt's Creek apart is its ability to let characters grow from their misery." — Saloni Gajjar, Mashable
For Schitt's Creekfans new and old, Hulu offers a 30-day free trial for all new subscribers, with a basic plan of $6.99 per month (with ads), and a premium plan of $12.99 per month (with no ads).
